2011 Grand Prix ICAR of Mirabel

Mirabel, Québec (May 18, 2011) – Tickets for the fourth running of the Grand Prix ICAR of Mirabel presented by Continental Tire, which will be held from Friday June 3 to Sunday June 5, 2011, are currently available online at www.circuiticar.com or by phone from Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm at 514-955-4227. For the first time in the track history, race fans will be able to see the stars of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series tackle the Grand Prix ICAR road course circuit, which is located in Mirabel, Québec, in Round 2 of their 12-race 2011 schedule. This will be the Canadian Tire Series first of three races on Quebec’s road courses this year, the other two scheduled for August in Trois-Rivières and Montréal. To mark the occasion, the organizers of the Grand Prix are pleased to announce that starting Wednesday, May 18, a pre-event ticket sales offer for Grandstands and General Admission two-day packages will be made available online.

 

Besides the NASCAR race, five other championships series will compete in the support race program of the Grand Prix ICAR. The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC), the Porsche IMSA GT3 Cup Canada Challenge, and the Canadian Super Production Challenge Series will run their second events of their 2011 schedule at ICAR, while the Québec-based GT Performance Racing Series and the Cup Lites Series will both open their 2011 seasons at the venue.

 

Pre-event weekend ticket packages, which are available for Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, will cost $40 each for General Admission and $85 each for non-reserved Grandstand seating; a savings of $10 on the regular price. Grandstand ticket holders will have access to the pit lane and garages. Fans wishing to buy tickets are invited to order early as the promotion will end on Friday, May 27, 2011, and the grandstand seating capacity is limited. The Grand Prix ICAR of Mirabel launches the grand prix season in Québec and for extreme race fans, this is the ideal occasion to see non-stop high-level car racing competition at an affordable price.

 

Access to the Grand Prix is Free on Friday June 3

 

Fans can watch a full day of racing activities free of charge on Friday June 3 as the organizers of the Grand Prix open their doors and welcome everyone to discover the track and its facilities and to enjoy a regular day of racing competition and a chance to meet their favourite drivers in the paddocks.

Aside from the pre-event promotion packages available until May 27, other options are offered to those wanting to attend the first major motorcar racing event of the 2011 season. Tickets for General Admission and Grandstand seating will be available at the gate. General Admission tickets for Saturday, June 4 are only $25 each and $35 each for Sunday, while Grandstand tickets for Saturday are $40 each and $60 each to watch Sunday’s activities.

Corporate Packages Available

The Grand Prix ICAR of Mirabel is a unique opportunity for companies and corporations, as well as the hard-core race fans to buy luxury corporate packages at an affordable price. Two group packages are available either in private suites or individual passes in a group suite in two separate locations – Privileged Suites or Le Club Tribune.

The Privileged Suites, provide direct access to the garages and the pit lane, are located in the heart of the action with a view of the pit activity and the start/finish line. It includes VIP access to the parking lots along with on-site shuttle services for guests and other privileges. Private catering service (cost not included) is also available.

Le Club Tribune offers you an exclusive access to the best seats in the stands with a view on the first turn after the start/finish line. These passes give you exclusive access to the garage and the pit lane. Private catering service (cost not included) is also available.

Circuit ICAR is located at Mirabel Airport. From Autoroute 15, take exit 35 to Autoroute 50 until exit 288 indicating Boulevard Henri-Fabre. Follow the ICAR signs to the track (J7N 0A6).
