The Honda Indy Toronto unveiled its six new commemorative trophies for the winners of its two marque races during a ceremony held today at the William Ashley’s flagship store on Bloor Street. The winning designs were voted on by fans of the Honda Indy Toronto Facebook page and were custom designed by iconic luxury brands Waterford Crystal and William Ashley. The trophies will be handed out July 6-8 at the event to champions of the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights races.

The trophies will be on display until the end of June at the William Ashley store at 55 Bloor Street West as part of a Honda Indy Toronto-themed window display. The fixture also features the Honda Indy Toronto show car on display, held up by one bone-china teacup under each tire, demonstrating the strength of the bone china.

“We are pleased to have a luxury brand like William Ashley on board as the Official Trophy Supplier for our event,” said Charlie Johnstone, Vice President and General Manager of the Honda Indy Toronto. “Not only are these trophies exquisite in their craftsmanship and design, but they also leave with the winners an expression of our beloved city and its fan base. They will be highly coveted prizes for our competing drivers during race weekend.”

This marks William Ashley’s second year as the Official Trophy Supplier for the Honda Indy Toronto following a successful inaugural partnership that began in 2011.
