Lux wanted Sutil to skip grands prix – report

Eric Lux offered to settle the Adrian Sutil affair but the Force India driver broke the ultimatum, according to a German newspaper.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung said Lux, the chief executive of Renault team owner Genii Capital, now intends to pursue the 28-year-old in Germany, Switzerland (where Sutil lives) and England (where his team is based).

German Sutil and his manager Manfred Zimmermann were tight-lipped in Barcelona on Thursday, the latter blithely telling reporters: “Adrian will not be giving information about Shanghai or the incident.”

Frankfurter Allgemeine alleges that until Lux’s Swiss lawyer announced his intension to push criminal charges, they were offering to settle.

Lux reportedly wanted Sutil to publicly apologise, make a gift to a charitable organisation and voluntarily sit out a few grands prix.

“We know nothing about it; there was no ultimatum,” insists Zimmermann.
