Petrov to announce 2011-2012 plans on Wednesday

Vitaly Petrov’s management has summoned the media to a press conference.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday at the Press Center of Television and Radio Russia, according to an invitation posted in Russian on the 2010 Renault driver’s official website.

It is expected that Petrov, 26, will be confirmed by Lotus Renault GP as Robert Kubica’s continuing teammate for the 2011 season.

The Russian-language statement said the purpose of the December 22 press conference is to “summarise the past season and share his plans for the future”.

The event will be attended by Petrov, his manager Oksana Kosachenko and a “team leader”.

“Also at the press conference, the official announcement of Petrov’s plans for 2011-2012 will be made,” confirmed the bulletin.
