Bob Tullius to Return to Mosport in 2015

After having not attended a motor race in over thirty years since he hung up his helmet, multiple champion, Bob Tullius accepted the request to act as Honorary Grand Marshal for the 2014 Canadian Historic Grand Prix at Mosport. He loved it. We all loved it.

And so, we were very pleased, excited and hugely complimented when the legendary driver and team principle informed us that he plans to return to Mosport in June for the 2015 CHGP! Of course this is big news for the members of the host club, VARAC (Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada) and to the Triumph, MG and Jaguar racers and fans since Bob Tullius had dominated sports car racing in North America while at the helm of the iconic, factory sponsored, Group 44 Racing stable in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

As revered as he is in Vintage Racing circles, Tullius will not be the only legendary celebrity driver to appear. Other regulars at the event include former national and international champions as Bill Brack, Eppie Wietzes, Ludwig Heimrath, Craig Fisher, Brian Stewart, as well as many others and of course, the 2015 Grand Marshall, Gary Magwood.

I for one cannot wait to once again revel in colour, sound and smell and speed of vintage racing at its best and to relive the glory and spectacle of Canada’s great Mosport Grand Prix Circuit, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park near Bowmanville, Canada – June 19 t0 21, 2015.
