{"id":11379,"date":"2011-03-08T06:16:33","date_gmt":"2011-03-08T11:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=11379"},"modified":"2011-03-08T06:16:33","modified_gmt":"2011-03-08T11:16:33","slug":"mclaren-to-sit-out-thursday-running-in-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/mclaren-to-sit-out-thursday-running-in-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"McLaren to sit out Thursday running in Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>McLaren has tweaked its schedule for the final test of the 2011 pre-season.<\/p>\n<p>Like the other eleven teams, the British outfit had planned to run on four consecutive days of the five-day schedule between Tuesday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch website f1today.nl reports that McLaren will actually run between Tuesday and Saturday in Barcelona, sitting out Thursday&#8217;s play.<\/p>\n<p>The session will therefore be split into two parts by McLaren; Tuesday-Wednesday, and Friday-Saturday.\u00a0 The Woking based team has been contacted for confirmation.<\/p>\n<p>The Circuit de Catalunya test will in fact total six days overall, after Ferrari kicked off its own programme with a filming day on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>And it was rumoured that Red Bull might copy McLaren&#8217;s two-session idea by also sitting out Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>But &#8220;(our schedule) remains Tuesday to Friday,&#8221; a team spokeswoman clarified to Germany&#8217;s Auto Motor und Sport.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>McLaren has tweaked its schedule for the final test of the 2011 pre-season.
