{"id":13184,"date":"2011-07-21T07:27:16","date_gmt":"2011-07-21T11:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=13184"},"modified":"2011-07-21T07:27:16","modified_gmt":"2011-07-21T11:27:16","slug":"mercedes-pair-hint-2012-lineup-not-changing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/mercedes-pair-hint-2012-lineup-not-changing\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes pair hint 2012 lineup not changing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes looks set to contest next year&#8217;s world championship with its current driver lineup.<\/p>\n<p>There have been rumours that while Nico Rosberg is linked with a switch to a top-3 team, Michael Schumacher might end his formula one comeback at the end of 2011.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We thought we would be right at the front this year,&#8221; German Rosberg told Bild newspaper in a joint interview with Schumacher.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But this is also an exciting situation, to build together a successful future.\u00a0 Sitting in the Silver Arrow is an honour and the thought of winning in one is something special.\u00a0 It is worth it to be patient,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Seven time world champion Schumacher was also asked for how much longer his pairing with 26-year-old Rosberg will last.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t say.\u00a0 But, anyway, I&#8217;ll be here next year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Added Rosberg: &#8220;I would like to repeat myself that I feel very, very happy here.\u00a0 But I never talk publicly about contractual issues.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It also seems likely that the driver pairings at top-3 teams Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull will remain static for a near-unprecedented third consecutive season in 2012.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes looks set to contest next year&#8217;s world championship with its current driver lineup.
