{"id":13694,"date":"2011-09-13T08:08:34","date_gmt":"2011-09-13T12:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=13694"},"modified":"2011-09-13T08:08:34","modified_gmt":"2011-09-13T12:08:34","slug":"us-gp-promoter-hellmund-sued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/us-gp-promoter-hellmund-sued\/","title":{"rendered":"US GP promoter Hellmund sued"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2012 US grand prix promoter Tavo Hellmund is being sued.<\/p>\n<p>Autoweek reports that the lawsuit has been filed by Texas attorney Randolph Ewing, who claims 5 per cent of Hellmund&#8217;s stake in the US grand prix is owed to him for legal and business advice.<\/p>\n<p>Hellmund has responded by insisting Ewing worked for free and never issued an invoice.<\/p>\n<p>In other Hellmund news, he told the Austin American Statesman that his company Full Throttle Productions has done consulting work for proposed F1 races in Mexico, Argentina and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>But he insisted: &#8220;The US grand prix is the most important thing &#8230; the next thing is to promote the US grand prix.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The newspaper said actual construction of the Circuit of the Americas&#8217; infrastructure will begin &#8220;soon&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>And in other lawsuit news, the Munchner Merkur daily reports that F1&#8217;s former commercial owner Constantin Medien is claiming $171 million in damages from Bernie Ecclestone and jailed German banker Gerhard Gribkowsky.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2012 US grand prix promoter Tavo Hellmund is being sued.
