{"id":14728,"date":"2011-12-29T08:02:47","date_gmt":"2011-12-29T13:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=14728"},"modified":"2011-12-29T08:02:47","modified_gmt":"2011-12-29T13:02:47","slug":"barrichello-still-waiting-on-news-from-williams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/barrichello-still-waiting-on-news-from-williams\/","title":{"rendered":"Barrichello still &#8216;waiting&#8217; on news from Williams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rubens Barrichello has revealed he is still &#8220;waiting&#8221; to know if he will race a twentieth consecutive formula one season in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The British team has already confirmed the well-backed Pastor Maldonado for next season but is looking at its options for the other seat, which has been occupied by Brazilian veteran Barrichello for the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>It emerged just before Christmas that Bruno Senna visited Williams&#8217; Oxfordshire base, amid rumours Adrian Sutil is perhaps the favourite for the second race seat.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just came back from England,&#8221; Barrichello, 39, said on Twitter two days before Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now some holidays,&#8221; he added, &#8220;and waiting for good news from Williams.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>F1&#8217;s longest-serving driver Barrichello, with a whopping 326 grand prix weekends behind him, also told Brazil&#8217;s Totalrace: &#8220;I have no plans to stop.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I really want to do twenty years in formula one.\u00a0 Who knows whether a great team will have me and this thing will go on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The passion and the desire are still there, now for the rest but one way or another, I will be competing,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rubens Barrichello has revealed he is still &#8220;waiting&#8221; to know if he will race a twentieth consecutive formula one season in 2012.
