{"id":14773,"date":"2012-01-04T07:06:44","date_gmt":"2012-01-04T12:06:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=14773"},"modified":"2012-01-04T07:06:44","modified_gmt":"2012-01-04T12:06:44","slug":"bianchi-regrets-sauber-debut-not-possible-in-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/bianchi-regrets-sauber-debut-not-possible-in-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Bianchi regrets Sauber debut not possible in 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jules Bianchi has admitted a race seat at Sauber this year would have been a logical step for his motor racing career.<\/p>\n<p>The Frenchman admitted to RMC radio that he is likely to play &#8220;an important role&#8221; in the paddock this season in order to push for his race debut in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple sources are reporting that the reserve seat at Force India, occupied by Nico Rosberg in 2011, is the 22-year-old&#8217;s likely destination.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The goal is to find a team that allows me the most mileage and (at the same time) I can still stay with Ferrari,&#8221; GP2 driver Bianchi, a Ferrari development driver, said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I feel ready for F1 already in 2012, but I must stay on the ground.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a little hard, but that&#8217;s what formula one is like.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Swiss team Sauber is powered by Ferrari and, prior to Felipe Massa&#8217;s Ferrari debut in 2006, it gave the Brazilian a race seat.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It wasn&#8217;t possible to be at Sauber,&#8221; insisted Bianchi, &#8220;as Perez and Kobayashi are signed up for a while.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It would have been a very good opportunity but it wasn&#8217;t to be,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jules Bianchi has admitted a race seat at Sauber this year would have been a logical step for his motor racing career.
