In the time since that test, Hinchcliffe has been extremely busy, and he\u2019ll have a lot to talk about when he takes to the CME\u2019s Mazda Stage on Sunday, February 12.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-center aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/gallery\/events-2011\/HIT-RIF-2011\/IZOD-IndyCar\/IZOD-3-HIT11\/IZOD-IndyCar-Honda-Indy-Toronto-1A9450.jpg\" alt=\"IZOD IndyCar Honda Indy Toronto\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The CME runs February 10, 11 &amp; 12 at the International Centre, adjacent to Toronto\u2019s Pearson Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, the Oakville, Ontario native earned the Rookie of the Year Award on the IZOD IndyCar Series, driving for the legendary Newman\/Haas Racing team. And in January, he was tabbed to drive the GoDaddy.com IndyCar for Andretti Autosport, taking over the ride last held by Danica Patrick.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old Canadian \u2013 who is gaining widespread popularity for his talents as a racer, his sense of humour and his flair for engaging his fans through social media \u2013 is a rising star in the world of open-wheel racing. Nicknamed \u2018The Mayor of Hinchtown,\u2019 Canadians racing fans have followed James\u2019 career progression through Formula BMW, Star Mazda, ChampCar Atlantic, A1GP, Firestone Indy Lights, and into IndyCar. \u2018Hinch\u2019 will be back in Toronto, in July, to compete in the Honda Indy Toronto, but Sunday\u2019s Canadian Motorsports Expo appearance offers enthusiasts a unique opportunity to connect with one of Canada\u2019s top racing stars in a relaxed environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to coming back to the Canadian Motorsport Expo,\u201d said James Hinchcliffe, of his upcoming appearance at Canada\u2019s racing show. \u201cIt\u2019s been a couple of years since my last visit and I know it\u2019s grown in stature since then, which is fantastic to see. Canadian fans are truly passionate about their motorsports and it\u2019s always a great experience to hang out with them. It\u2019s been both an exciting and busy winter for me and the new season\u2019s fast approaching. I think everyone\u2019s raring to go and the CME\u2019s a great way to kick-start Canada\u2019s racing calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Discussing Hinchcliffe\u2019s appearance at the show, the CME\u2019s Rob Morton said, \u201cThrough our work at Inside Track Motorsport News, we\u2019ve followed James\u2019 career since his karting days, so it\u2019s very exciting for all of us to see how far he\u2019s come and how far he can go. We\u2019re happy to welcome him back to the CME to connect with his Canadian racing fans and sign a bunch of autographs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>James Hinchcliffe will take to the Mazda Stage for a Q&amp;A Session on Sunday (Feb. 12) from 12:45-1:30 p.m. At that point, he will head to the Inside Track Motorsport News booth (CME Booth #600) to sign autographs and chat with the fans. Hinchcliffe is also expected to figure in the awards presentations for the Inside Track Readers\u2019 Choice Awards, which will be presented starting at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday night on the Mazda Stage (Feb. 11).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ABOUT THE CME<\/strong><\/em>: The Canadian Motorsports Expo Powered by Inside Track Motorsport News is a three-day celebration of Canadian racing that runs February 10, 11 &amp; 12, 2012 at the International Centre (6900 Airport Road in Mississauga, Ontario (Canada)).
