{"id":15834,"date":"2012-04-20T05:50:48","date_gmt":"2012-04-20T09:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=15834"},"modified":"2012-04-20T05:50:48","modified_gmt":"2012-04-20T09:50:48","slug":"french-broadcaster-tf1-not-in-bahrain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/french-broadcaster-tf1-not-in-bahrain\/","title":{"rendered":"French broadcaster TF1 not in Bahrain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another television broadcaster has pulled out of this weekend&#8217;s Bahrain grand prix.<\/p>\n<p>It had already emerged that Sky Deutschland, MTV3 Finland and Japan&#8217;s Fuji TV would not be reporting from the scene of the race in the troubled island Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it emerges that the travelling regulars for France&#8217;s TF1 are not in Bahrain either.<\/p>\n<p>The French-language RMC Sport reported that, like the other broadcasters, the decision was taken &#8220;because of the unstable situation&#8221; in Bahrain.<\/p>\n<p>It has also emerged that Stefano Mancini, the regular F1 correspondent for Italy&#8217;s La Stampa newspaper, had trouble entering Bahrain this week.<\/p>\n<p>He reported that he encountered the trouble, which ended when the FIA intervened directly, due to an interview he conducted last week with a Bahraini activist.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You work for a newspaper?&#8221; Mancini said, recalling what he was asked by the polite uniformed official.\u00a0 &#8220;Write the name,&#8221; the official said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My name?&#8221; enquired Mancini.\u00a0 &#8220;No, the newspaper,&#8221; the official clarified.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another television broadcaster has pulled out of this weekend&#8217;s Bahrain grand prix.
