{"id":16488,"date":"2012-08-04T08:26:00","date_gmt":"2012-08-04T12:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=16488"},"modified":"2012-08-04T08:26:00","modified_gmt":"2012-08-04T12:26:00","slug":"good-news-from-f1-hosts-austin-and-russia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/good-news-from-f1-hosts-austin-and-russia\/","title":{"rendered":"Good news from F1 hosts Austin and Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is good news from new formula one hosts in Texas as well as Sochi, Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Austin&#8217;s new Circuit of the Americas announced that three-day general admission tickets for its inaugural grand prix in November have sold out.<\/p>\n<p>US media reports said the venue estimates a whopping 120,000 spectators will attend on all three days of the race weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Worldwide fan interest has been remarkable,&#8221; spokesman Geoff Moore said.<\/p>\n<p>And the Austin American Statesman newspaper said the first layers of track asphalt have been laid, concrete for the corner kerbs and pitwall poured, run-off gravel put down, and safety fencing is being installed.<\/p>\n<p>Progress is also being made in Russia, despite earlier fears the resort city Sochi might not be ready for its inaugural 2014 race date.<\/p>\n<p>Russian deputy prime minister Dmitry Kozak is quoted by the ITAR-TASS agency as saying the track will be ready for 2014, even though Sochi is also gearing up to host the winter Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll be ready to host the first Russian grand prix in October 2014,&#8221; he said in London.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is good news from new formula one hosts in Texas as well as Sochi, Russia.
