{"id":16638,"date":"2012-09-22T08:21:07","date_gmt":"2012-09-22T12:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=16638"},"modified":"2012-09-22T08:21:07","modified_gmt":"2012-09-22T12:21:07","slug":"fernandes-upset-with-kovalainens-manager-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/fernandes-upset-with-kovalainens-manager-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Fernandes upset with Kovalainen&#8217;s manager &#8211; report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tony Fernandes has admitted to some frustration as he attempts to re-sign Finn Heikki Kovalainen for the 2013 season.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-center alignright\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/gallery\/f1-2012-rif-images\/f1-12-people\/Tony-Fernandes.jpg\" alt=\"Tony-Fernandes\" width=\"384\" height=\"256\" \/>The last three years with Caterham have restored the 30-year-old&#8217;s reputation, and so his manager Martin Anayi has been hawking his talents to other teams.<\/p>\n<p>But when Kovalainen signed his first deal with Caterham chief Fernandes, he was managing his own affairs.<\/p>\n<p>He subsequently moved to the IMG Motorsport management stable.<\/p>\n<p>Kovalainen has reportedly been in talks with Sauber, Ferrari and Lotus.<\/p>\n<p>And talks with Caterham reportedly only began this week, in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I do not particularly like his manager, although I think I have a good relationship with him (Kovalainen),&#8221; Fernandes admitted to the Finnish MTV3 broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>But Malaysian Fernandes admits it is possible Kovalainen will move teams.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, it&#8217;s &#8230; I don&#8217;t know,&#8221; he said.\u00a0 &#8220;I would like Heikki to stay, very much.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tony Fernandes has admitted to some frustration as he attempts to re-sign Finn Heikki Kovalainen for the 2013 season.
