{"id":17426,"date":"2012-12-18T07:11:33","date_gmt":"2012-12-18T12:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=17426"},"modified":"2012-12-18T07:11:33","modified_gmt":"2012-12-18T12:11:33","slug":"sacked-f1-doctor-admits-fury-at-fia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/sacked-f1-doctor-admits-fury-at-fia\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacked F1 doctor admits fury at FIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gary Hartstein has admitted his fury at F1&#8217;s governing body.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the 57-year-old American revealed on Twitter that the Jean Todt-led FIA had decided not to renew his contract as F1&#8217;s chief doctor beyond 2012.<\/p>\n<p>He said at the time: &#8220;Not sure about the &#8216;why&#8217;s&#8217; of the decision, but not down to me to know.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But Hartstein&#8217;s tone changed radically this week, when he admitted to his almost 8,000 Twitter followers that he is &#8220;righteously pissed off&#8221; to have lost his job.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I might launch a crusade to get some answers, or get my f***ing job back, or let the world know what&#8217;s really going on on the medical side of the FIA.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Understand this: I am not bitter or sad,&#8221; Hartstein insisted.\u00a0 &#8220;I am seriously angry.\u00a0 And that&#8217;s bad.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not sure how or when, but there&#8217;s dark clouds a-gatherin&#8217;.\u00a0 This is gonna be a f***ing blast!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gary Hartstein has admitted his fury at F1&#8217;s governing body.
