{"id":18353,"date":"2013-05-26T07:17:20","date_gmt":"2013-05-26T11:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=18353"},"modified":"2013-05-26T07:17:20","modified_gmt":"2013-05-26T11:17:20","slug":"lowes-tasks-not-clear-yet-brawn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/lowes-tasks-not-clear-yet-brawn\/","title":{"rendered":"Lowe&#8217;s tasks not clear yet &#8211; Brawn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ross Brawn has admitted he is not sure what tasks new recruit Paddy Lowe will be assigned at Mercedes.<\/p>\n<p>Lowe, McLaren&#8217;s former technical director, has been extracted from his contract with the great British team six months early, and will start work at Mercedes in just over a week.<\/p>\n<p>His title will be executive director technical, but many see the 51-year-old as the longer-term successor for team boss Brawn.<\/p>\n<p>Asked what Lowe will be doing when he starts work on Monday week, Brawn told German news agency SID: &#8220;I honestly don&#8217;t know yet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will see how he can help us the best both in the short and long term.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Along with former Ferrari technical director Brawn, also working at Mercedes on technical matters now are Bob Bell, Aldo Costa, Geoff Willis and now Lowe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Each will have an area of responsibility and will report to Ross Brawn,&#8221; chairman Niki Lauda told Brazil&#8217;s O Estado de S.Paulo.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about the old adage of too many chiefs and not enough Indians, the great Austrian scoffed: &#8220;Bullshit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ross Brawn has admitted he is not sure what tasks new recruit Paddy Lowe will be assigned at Mercedes.
