We look forward to having Dunlop involved with our team as a technical partner.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Dyson Racing\" href=\"http:\/\/dysonracing.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">Dyson Racing<\/a> finished second in the 2009 ALMS P2 class with their BP Dyson Racing Mazda-powered Lola coupes. The team captured two wins last season, including the Petit Le Mans, making Mazda the only Japanese manufacturer to have won both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Petit Le Mans. The team never finished off the podium for the year and claimed three poles and three fast laps. Butch Leitzinger and Marino Franchitti were second in the P2 Drivers Championship and Chris Dyson and Guy Smith were fourth in the standings after not running for points in the last two races of the year when the No. 16 Dyson car ran BP\u2019s new biobutanol fuel blend.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Wassell, Manager, Car Motorsport at Dunlop\u2019s Birmingham UK base added, \u201cWe look forward to our increasing involvement in North America racing and to assisting one of the leading sports car racing teams in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDyson Racing is North America\u2019s premier sportscar racing team and we are delighted with the opportunity, not only to supply our tires, but to work with a team with such an impressive record,\u201d commented Phil Lamont, President, Vintage Tyres Limited, the distributor of Dunlop racing tires in North America.<\/p>\n<p>Dunlop racing tires are manufactured at their Motorsport Division factory based in Fort Dunlop, Birmingham, England.<\/p>\n<p>Dyson Racing will be announcing the details of their 2010 racing program in coming weeks. The team will be at the ALMS Winter Test in Sebring FL on February 22nd and 23rd. The 2010 American Le Mans Series will open its 12th season with America\u2019s greatest sportscar race, the 58th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida from March 17 &#8211; 20.
