{"id":20044,"date":"2013-11-26T07:12:10","date_gmt":"2013-11-26T12:12:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=20044"},"modified":"2013-11-26T07:12:10","modified_gmt":"2013-11-26T12:12:10","slug":"brawns-mercedes-exit-now-imminent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/brawns-mercedes-exit-now-imminent\/","title":{"rendered":"Brawn&#8217;s Mercedes exit now imminent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An announcement about Ross Brawn&#8217;s departure from Mercedes is now imminent.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s normally-reliable Sport Bild says the news is coming &#8220;later this week&#8221;, at the end of a period of strong speculation that the Brackley based team will install Paddy Lowe as the new boss.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes, and particularly chairman Niki Lauda, have made efforts to keep 58-year-old Briton Brawn on board in another role.<\/p>\n<p>But the big rumour is he could be headed back to Ferrari, where as technical director he presided over Michael Schumacher&#8217;s ultra-dominant cars of last decade.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s see,&#8221; Brawn told the British broadcaster Sky on Sunday in Brazil, after he was spotted meeting in Stefano Domenicali&#8217;s Interlagos circuit office.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will advise everyone in good time, but it&#8217;s a pretty exciting year next year, so let&#8217;s see what happens,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Asked if Brazil was in fact his &#8216;goodbye&#8217; to F1 altogether, Brawn smiled as he insisted: &#8220;(This is) not an answer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An announcement about Ross Brawn&#8217;s departure from Mercedes is now imminent.
