{"id":21094,"date":"2014-02-25T07:08:33","date_gmt":"2014-02-25T12:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=21094"},"modified":"2014-02-25T07:08:33","modified_gmt":"2014-02-25T12:08:33","slug":"vettel-denies-nurburgring-buyout-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/vettel-denies-nurburgring-buyout-bid\/","title":{"rendered":"Vettel denies Nurburgring buyout bid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sebastian Vettel&#8217;s manager has denied the reigning world champion is involved in a possible buyout of the Nurburgring.<\/p>\n<p>With the German grand prix venue&#8217;s future uncertain, we reported last week that F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone is no longer a candidate to buy it.<\/p>\n<p>Ecclestone had confirmed in January he made a bid for the financially-troubled track.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We want to make sure there is a formula one race in Germany every year in the future,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>But last week, it emerged that Ecclestone was not among the latest candidates &#8211; entities from Dusseldorf and the US, and a private equity firm &#8211; in the running to buy the Nurburgring.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s Sport Bild now reports that German driver and reigning world champion Vettel could be involved in a Nurburgring buyout bid.<\/p>\n<p>But the Austrian news agency APA quoted his spokesman Britta Roeske as saying: &#8220;There&#8217;s nothing to it (the report).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The current bidding process will reportedly conclude at the end of March.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sebastian Vettel&#8217;s manager has denied the reigning world champion is involved in a possible buyout of the Nurburgring.
