{"id":22835,"date":"2014-08-18T06:59:35","date_gmt":"2014-08-18T10:59:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=22835"},"modified":"2014-08-18T06:59:35","modified_gmt":"2014-08-18T10:59:35","slug":"gutierrez-in-talks-with-other-teams-for-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/gutierrez-in-talks-with-other-teams-for-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Gutierrez in talks with &#8216;other teams&#8217; for 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sauber driver Esteban Gutierrez has revealed his management is in talks with &#8220;other teams&#8221; about 2015.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-left alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/gallery\/f1-2014-rif-images\/f1-2014-drivers\/Esteban-Gutierrez-2.jpg\" alt=\"Esteban-Gutierrez-2\" width=\"461\" height=\"307\" \/>With the prominent backing of Telmex, the 23-year-old has driven for the struggling Swiss team since last year.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about 2015, he told local media whilst in his native Mexico at the weekend: &#8220;We are in negotiations with Sauber and we have opened discussions with other teams.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are in a period of evaluation to see what direction we want to go,&#8221; added Gutierrez, who like his teammate Adrian Sutil is yet to score a single point in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>He continued: &#8220;Over the next two months we have to make a decision and now we are evaluating all the possibilities that we have open.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sauber is happy with me and wants to go on,&#8221; he revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Gutierrez also admitted that he expects the next two grands prix, in Belgium and Italy, to be difficult for the Ferrari-powered 2014 Sauber.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The car itself is very difficult to drive, it is a very complex car in many respects, but I think we have improved it since the start.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But the truth is that we have difficulties especially on the straights.\u00a0 In the short term, Spa and Monza will not be good for us,&#8221; he acknowledged.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sauber driver Esteban Gutierrez has revealed his management is in talks with &#8220;other teams&#8221; about 2015.
