{"id":4225,"date":"2010-04-07T19:57:04","date_gmt":"2010-04-07T23:57:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=4225"},"modified":"2010-04-07T19:57:20","modified_gmt":"2010-04-07T23:57:20","slug":"imsa-stewards-rule-on-sebring-lmpc-exclusions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/alms\/imsa-stewards-rule-on-sebring-lmpc-exclusions\/","title":{"rendered":"IMSA STEWARDS RULE ON SEBRING LMPC EXCLUSIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Green Earth Team Gunnar No. 99 and Level 5 Motorsports No. 95 reinstated<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imsaracing.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">IMSA<\/a> stewards reinstated two LMP Challenge entries to the official results for the 58th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida \u2013 G-Oil\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/getitracing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Green Earth Team Gunnar<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/level5motorsports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Level 5 Motorsports<\/a>. The decision elevates the ORECA FLM09 of Green Earth Team Gunnar to the runner-up spot in class and Level 5 Motorsports\u2019 second entry to sixth for the opening round of the 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>The championship\u2019s sanctioning body requested the review. At issue was a new rule for 2010 that permits drivers in the LMPC class to compete in more than one entry and how officials calculate minimum drive-time for an event \u2013 two hours in the case of Sebring. The stewards judged the rule to be ambiguous and open to interpretation; it did not specify if minimum drive-times are recorded in a single entry or multiple cars. The rule was also unclear as to the application of penalties in the case of a driver in multiple cars. As both exclusions were based on the same regulation, the stewards rescinded the penalties for both cars.<\/p>\n<p>Official race results and points standings reflecting this decision have been reissued.
