The wait was worth it, giving the team valuable time to make adjustments, sort out any issues, and be confident in the car they had prepared for qualifying.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We used our time wisely trying to work on the setup,&#8221; said Paul Gentilozzi, JaguarRSR Principal Partner and co-driver of the #75 JaguarRSR XKR GT. &#8220;With ample time behind the wheel we have been able to gather some constructive information that has shown positive improvements in the car here at Long Beach, which is always a welcome sign.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While Gentilozzi had seat time during this morning&#8217;s practice, it was Dalziel who ran in the afternoon practice session and qualified the #75 Jaguar XKR GT. After six laps around the 1.968-mile temporary street circuit of Long Beach, Dalziel had posted a time of 1:24.707 and sat ninth in the GT class. The Scot would continue to push hard, improving his time to post a 1:22.985 (85.374 mph) to close out the 20-minute qualifying session.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It really was a good day for JaguarRSR,&#8221; Dalziel commented after his qualifying effort. &#8220;I think it has been our most productive day since I got involved. We definitely narrowed the gap in the #75 JaguarRSR XKR GT. I am looking forward to making some more improvements from our feedback today and going out there tomorrow to have a good race.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The #75 JaguarRSR XKR GT will start 25th on the provisional grid, 12th in class.
