{"id":5906,"date":"2010-06-01T07:14:01","date_gmt":"2010-06-01T11:14:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=5906"},"modified":"2010-06-01T07:14:01","modified_gmt":"2010-06-01T11:14:01","slug":"fisichella-vilander-joining-risi-competizione-at-salt-lake-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/alms\/fisichella-vilander-joining-risi-competizione-at-salt-lake-city\/","title":{"rendered":"Fisichella, Vilander joining Risi Competizione at Salt Lake City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First American GT race for F1 star Giancarlo Fisichella.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Risi Competizione is pleased to announce the entry of a second Ferrari F430 GTC for the fourth round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr\u00f3n in Utah on July 11.<\/p>\n<p>Racing alongside Series regulars and GT champions &#8211; Jaime Melo and Gianmaria Bruni &#8211; will be Ferrari F1 reserve driver and Le Mans Series competitor Giancarlo Fisichella, and two-time FIA GT Championship GT2 class champion Toni Vilander.<\/p>\n<p>While Finn Vilander, 29, has competed in the championship before \u2013 two races in 2006 with Risi Competizione \u2013 it will be the 37-year-old Italian driver\u2019s debut in the super-competitive GT sports car series. Fisichella has 231 Grands Prix to his name for a number of teams, including of course Ferrari. Both he and Vilander are currently driving alongside Jean Alesi, and Risi\u2019s own Bruni and Melo, for Ferrari team AF Corse in the Le Mans Series.<\/p>\n<p>Team Principal, Giuseppe Risi, said of the entry: \u201cWe are very much looking forward to welcoming Giancarlo to Risi Competizione and to the American style of racing.
