Drayson Racing enters its first Le Mans with an LMP car this year, on a huge high after a stunning performance at the Sebring 12 Hours in March.<\/p>\n

Team owner and driver Paul Drayson has fallen in love with the striking green Lola Judd Coupe and ahead of next weekends big race describes why he cannot get enough of the Huntingdon designed and built LMP1.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the very beginning the Lola has been a car which has really encouraged you to have confidence in it. I think it will be fantastic at Le Mans, it\u2019s a really superb package and I feel it\u2019s been a car I have been racing now for a long time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am really proud of the Lola and the fact that British motorsport leads the world. This is another example of how an independent team like Drayson Racing can really mix it with the factory teams and their huge budgets. I think it is a credit both to the team but also to great British companies like Lola and Judd. It\u2019s special to me, it really is.\u201d<\/p>\n
Drayson also believes that global endurance racing is an essential part of relaying important messages about more sustainable motorsport in the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think that the progress which has been made in all aspects of green technology, both in mainstream automotive and also in motorsport, is all coming to a point whereby I think some really big steps could be made.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am really excited about the possibilities out there for motorsport,\u201d continued Drayson. \u201cI think it\u2019s a more innovative part of the industry now than we have seen for many years and I think that motorsport has a tremendous future if it can stay relevant. Motorsport has to be showing that it is making an impact in terms of both innovation and the perception in importance of low emissions and high efficiency. I want Drayson Racing to be involved in these areas and that\u2019s what I\u2019m going to be focussing on for our business. Having being limited about what I could do previously because of time constraints, now I can really focus on growing the team in the right way.”<\/p>\n
