{"id":6808,"date":"2010-07-07T07:10:26","date_gmt":"2010-07-07T11:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=6808"},"modified":"2010-07-07T07:10:26","modified_gmt":"2010-07-07T11:10:26","slug":"court-moves-to-freeze-assets-of-hrt-owner-carabante","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/court-moves-to-freeze-assets-of-hrt-owner-carabante\/","title":{"rendered":"Court moves to freeze assets of HRT owner Carabante"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Madrid arbitration court has moved to freeze the assets of HRT team owner Jose Ramon Carabante.<\/p>\n<p>Due to a payment dispute with Trinitario Casanova, from whom Carabante bought the Grupo Hispania in 2008, the case was referred to Madrid&#8217;s Arbitration court.<\/p>\n<p>The pair are each claiming the other owes them multiple millions of euros, but the finding of the court was that Carabante&#8217;s properties be preventatively frozen due to a 23 million euro debt, the El Mundo newspaper said.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is believed that the HRT team is not one of the affected assets controlled by Carabante.<\/p>\n<p>And he told the Diario La Verdad newspaper that the arbitration outcome does not worry him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know what I owe him (Casanova), and what he owes me.\u00a0 The judge will decide,&#8221; said Carabante.<\/p>\n<p>Court sources confirmed to the newspaper that the decision is not definitive.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">\u00a9 RIF|GMM<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Madrid arbitration court has moved to freeze the assets of HRT team owner Jose Ramon Carabante.
