{"id":6825,"date":"2010-07-07T12:57:44","date_gmt":"2010-07-07T16:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=6825"},"modified":"2010-07-07T22:59:34","modified_gmt":"2010-07-08T02:59:34","slug":"kubica-commits-to-renault-for-two-more-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/kubica-commits-to-renault-for-two-more-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Kubica commits to Renault for two more years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Renault on Wednesday said Robert Kubica has extended his contract to include the 2011 and 2012 seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old Pole moved to the team this year from BMW, and after an impressive start had been linked with a move either next year or in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>But in a media statement, he said committing to Genii Capital-owned Renault for two more seasons was a &#8220;straightforward decision&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What&#8217;s important for me is to be in the right atmosphere, with a good group of people, where everybody is pulling in the same direction,&#8221; said Kubica.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said Renault wants to challenge for the title &#8220;over the coming seasons&#8221;, and had &#8220;convinced Robert&#8221; that the team &#8220;can match his own high ambitions&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To do so (win the title), we need a driver of Robert&#8217;s calibre; somebody who is fast, totally committed and doesn&#8217;t make mistakes,&#8221; said team boss Eric Boullier.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">\u00a9 RIF|GMM<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Renault on Wednesday said Robert Kubica has extended his contract to include the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
