{"id":8979,"date":"2010-10-13T18:31:22","date_gmt":"2010-10-13T22:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=8979"},"modified":"2010-10-13T18:31:22","modified_gmt":"2010-10-13T22:31:22","slug":"teams-hope-bob-bell-finds-new-job-in-f1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/teams-hope-bob-bell-finds-new-job-in-f1\/","title":{"rendered":"Teams hope Bob Bell finds new job in F1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two formula one team bosses have indicated they hope Bob Bell will find accommodation after leaving Renault.<\/p>\n<p>The 52-year-old Ulsterman has left the Enstone based team after a long post as technical boss, and having acted as team principal amid the crashgate scandal.<\/p>\n<p>But with the departure of the French carmaker as majority owner, Renault came under new management in 2010 and Bell has now been replaced as managing director by Eric Boullier.<\/p>\n<p>Bell joined McLaren as an aerodynamicist in the 80s before switching to Enstone based Benetton in 1997.<\/p>\n<p>He moved to Jordan in 1999 and returned to Benetton \u2013 now Renault \u2013 in 2001 as deputy technical director, becoming technical director to replace Mike Gascoyne in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s certainly a very capable guy,&#8221; said Williams chief executive and chairman Adam Parr.\u00a0 &#8220;I hope he will get a job very soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And Mercedes&#8217; Norbert Haug added: &#8220;Bob did a good job and I&#8217;ve no idea what will happen.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s (team principal) Ross (Brawn)&#8217;s job at the end of the day,&#8221; said the German.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two formula one team bosses have indicated they hope Bob Bell will find accommodation after leaving Renault.
