{"id":9055,"date":"2010-10-18T18:48:49","date_gmt":"2010-10-18T22:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/?p=9055"},"modified":"2010-10-18T18:48:49","modified_gmt":"2010-10-18T22:48:49","slug":"kubica-heads-to-korea-after-podium-result-in-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/formula-1\/kubica-heads-to-korea-after-podium-result-in-rally\/","title":{"rendered":"Kubica heads to Korea after podium result in rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Robert Kubica is travelling to Korea this week in podium-winning form.<\/p>\n<p>At the weekend, between the Japanese and Korean grands prix, the Pole and rally enthusiast took part in the Rallye d&#8217;Antibes in the South of France.<\/p>\n<p>The rally, with Kubica at the wheel of a Clio S1600, is part of the FIA European Rally Championship.<\/p>\n<p>According to French language sources including Belgian television RTBF, the 25-year-old finished the rally in third place overall.\u00a0 Auto Hebdo described it as &#8220;an excellent performance&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>F1 Renault driver Kubica reportedly finished ahead of many faster S2000 cars, topped the times in three separate stages, and won the A6 class outright.<\/p>\n<p>A month ago in Italy, he took his first class victory in the Rally d&#8217;Alipi Orientali.<\/p>\n<p>But at Suzuka just over a week ago, Kubica retired his F1 car from second place behind winner Sebastian Vettel when his R30 shed a rear wheel.<\/p>\n<p>He was, however, buoyed by his pace in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t expect to be as quick as we were,&#8221; he admitted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #888888;\">\u00a0\u00a9 RIF | GMM<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Robert Kubica is travelling to Korea this week in podium-winning form.
