The reigning GT Challenge co-champion with Tim Pappas in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr\u00f3n was voted in an online poll to represent The Netherlands in the annual competition that pits racing\u2019s best talents against one another in a variety of equally prepared race cars.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-left alignleft\" style=\"margin-left: 2px; margin-right: 2px; border: black 1px solid;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.racinginfocus.com\/rif\/gallery\/posts-alms\/JBleekemolen-BSR1.jpg\" alt=\"JBleekemolen-BSR1\" width=\"307\" height=\"358\" \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s ROC is set for November 27-28 on a specially constructed tarmac track with two parallel lanes winding their way round the D\u00fcsseldorf arena. The venue can hold more than 50,000 spectators.<\/p>\n<p>Bleekemolen joins a virtual championship honor roll of drivers including eight-time Le Mans 24-Hour race winner Tom Kristensen, multiple F1 world champions Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost, seven-time world rally king S\u00e9bastien Loeb, five-time world 500cc motorcycling champion Mick Doohan, X-Games legend Travis Pastrana and 2010 F1 title contender Sebastian Vettel.<\/p>\n<p>Bleekemolen, a two-time champion in the Porsche Supercup and past LMP2 winner at the Le Mans 24 Hours, won the Dutch vote by nearly 4 percent over such names as Tom Coronel and Robert Doornbos. Bleekemolen will race in the ROC for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m really looking forward to being able to represent my country in The Race of Champions,\u201d said Bleekemolen, who won four times in GTC with Pappas to win this year\u2019s driver and team championships. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to race against such big names of this sport.
