Bumper Le Mans entry for Lola

Nine Lola LMPs get set for Le Mans 24 Hours

Lola will make up a large part of the LMP grid at the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours, it was announced today.

A total of nine Huntingdon-built designs will challenge for honours in the 78th running of the event in June, with more Lola entries joining in for the five race Le Mans Series that will kick off at Paul Ricard on April 10.

For what is arguably the world’s greatest race, Lola will have seven entries in the LMP1 class and two in the LMP2 class. This beats the previous record of eight combined entries in 2008 and once again makes Lola the most represented constructor on the grid. A total of five different engine units will power the Lola entries this year.

“We are delighted that Lola is once again the most represented constructor in the LMP field. To have almost a third of the entry is a real endorsement of the Lola product,” said Lola Executive Chairman, Martin Birrane.

“The ACO have again provided an exceptional entry list for what I personally consider the worlds greatest race. I would like to wish all our customers the very best of luck for this years campaign.”
