Force India also not using F-duct in Hungary

Adrian Sutil’s is another car not running an F-duct system in the Hungarian grand prix.

The German qualified 13th on Saturday, but said he was feeling even less grip from the VJM03 car in morning practice.

“We had absolutely no grip,” the Force India driver is quoted by Auto Motor und Sport.

“So we removed the F-duct before qualifying and it was a little bit better.”

Ferrari and Red Bull are also not using the downforce-stalling innovation for the twisty curves and scant straights of the Hungaroring.

Earlier, Force India tested a blown diffuser floor on the Mercedes-powered car, but removed it from the car after Friday practice.

“That (the new floor) would have helped me today,” Sutil said on Saturday, but the team decided to err on the side of caution due to the extremely high temperatures withstood by the carbon suspension.
