It’s raining at Hockenheim on Friday morning

It is raining hard at Hockenheim early on Friday morning.

With less than two hours until the first practice session, the German circuit is completely wet, with more rain forecast throughout the day.

Showers are also expected on Saturday, but the race could be dry on a nonetheless cloudy Sunday afternoon.

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton admitted the weather might affect McLaren’s plans to keep the blown exhaust on the MP4-25 throughout the Hockenheim weekend.

“If it stays wet all weekend, we might have to do our testing at the next race,” he said.

The British team has already abandoned plans to conduct back-to-back tests with the old floor, with Hamilton and Jenson Button’s cars to both be fitted with the latest specification throughout the initial sessions.
