Kolles eyes HRT takeover, Meta posing no threat

According to rumours in the French press, the newly branded Hispania (HRT) team could be set for another takeover before long.

In the rush to get two race cars built by the Italian constructor Dallara in time for the 2010 season opener, Jose Ramon Carabante took control of the ailing team from its founder Adrian Campos.

France’s Auto Hebdo now reports that new team boss Colin Kolles, who allegedly wanted to relocate the outfit to Germany, could be the next in line to take over the team.

Meanwhile, to the AS newspaper in Spain, Meta Image has played down rumours that legal action could be amounted in light of the pre-season name change from Campos-Meta.

“Right now we are not posing any kind of complaint, about the name or anything else.  This is a collaboration, a common cause, and we just want to do the best for the team,” said Meta chief Enrique Rodriguez.

He added: “Nobody thought we were going to be at the first race, but instead the team is going forwards.  So we’re not going to do anything other than help.”
