Nick Fry hopes for top-3

Mercedes GP: The team wants to go 2010 with the Top-3

Mercedes took the Constructors’ title with Brawn as an engine supplier for the team as early as 2009. For the first season with Mercedes Grand Prix, the goals are set more modestly, a place among the top 3, it should be.

“I think 2010, we should aim for a place among the top-3 in the constructors’ championship,” said Nick Fry. “Everything else is very difficult to predict, we know at this point yet, how competitive we were. If we are not among the top 3 it would provide for all of us probably a disappointment.”

Fry estimates that is a comeback of stiff competition from Ferrari and McLaren and Red Bull Racing. “Until we have an idea of how they have developed their cars, we do not know where we stand. If we fail, it would create among the top 3, which is probably a disappointment for us all.”

About Michael Schumacher: “Michael brings a huge experience to our team. Someone who got so many world titles, has primarily an incredible knowledge. I am sure He can lead us to similar results. As for Formula 1 – we have said on so many other teams get ‘We hope he comes back and goes for you,’ it’s good for everyone in Formula 1, for the sport and I he believes will help us attract more fans around the world to reactivate.”
