Rain forecast for Malaysian GP

In the wake of Saturday’s slippery qualifying session at Sepang, more of the same weather is forecast for the Malaysian grand prix in less than an hour.

Some in the Sepang media centre are convinced they have felt a drop or two of rain up and down the paddock on Sunday, but it has been a mainly dry, hot and humid day as the F1 circus prepares for round three of the world championship.

There have been thick and ominous-looking clouds constantly in the sky, however, and forecasts are predicting the typical late afternoon showers to also feature on Sunday.

Bernie Ecclestone joked to a reporter that he has ordered a rain shower for 4.15 local, which will be a few laps into the 56-lap race.
