Darkhorse Autosport Expands Offerings to Include Motorsports Consulting

FRANKLIN, TN, USA, November 22, 2010 – 14 years ago Darkhorse Autosport, Inc. was founded to assist smaller teams, lesser known drivers and manufacturers find a voice in motorsport media. Since that time, the company has expanded its offerings to include multiple disciplines in the business of the racing. Today, the Franklin, TN-based organization represents internationally recognized, championship-contending clients competing around the globe while maintaining its core, founding principles. Darkhorse’s presence has been felt in nearly every form of the sport with dozens of clients exceeding their media and marketing objectives around the world. With the expertise and professional contacts garnered from this success, Darkhorse Autosport will again expand its business offerings to include comprehensive consulting services to the industry.

Long known for its skill in the media and marketing aspects of auto racing, Darkhorse Autosport was often requested to bring the same proven and respected approach to other areas of the business by its partners. As a byproduct of this demand, Darkhorse acquired extensive knowledge in the daily operations of motorsports including hiring, logistics, hospitality, merchandising and more. With a unique skill set in nearly all aspects of motorsports management; drivers, teams, promoters, series and sponsors outside of its partner roster began seeking Darkhorse for advisement on developing new programs and tuning existing ones. As a result, the privately held company has now opted to make this a formal part of its service portfolio to any entity interested in utilizing motorsports to move their brand forward.

Motorsports is well established as an excellent venue for brand development and exposure. However, far too often, new programs, and even many established ones, fall short of potential due to a lack of understanding of how to best capitalize on the opportunities available. Darkhorse Autosport will call upon its years of experience to maximize the return on investment through a calculated, thorough strategy based on the client’s goals. By creating a roadmap and then placing the necessary components in place, Darkhorse expects to replicate the success it has helped others achieve in the past.

Since its founding, Darkhorse Autosport, Inc. (www.DarkhorseAutosport.com) has worked in multiple motorsports series and areas of promotion, marketing and consulting. It has represented teams, drivers, manufacturers and marketing partners in 14 national or international championship efforts across more than 20 series. Clients have twice stood victorious at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and on the grid in events as diverse as the Indianapolis 500 and the Dakar Rally. Principals of Darkhorse Autosport have worked in the American Le Mans Series, IndyCar, NASCAR, the Asian Le Mans Series, the Le Mans Series, the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, Rolex Grand-Am Series, SCCA Club and Pro Racing, ARCA, USAC, the World of Outlaws, the Historic Stock Car Racing Association, the World Karting Association and in the world of offshore powerboats among others.

Tom Moore, President/CEO: “We are very excited about the official expansion of Darkhorse Autosport’s services to fully embrace a consulting role. This is more a formalization of a service we have been providing to our partners for the last ten years. Up until now we have kept this service exclusive to those with which we have had a long-running relationship. However, with the recent influx of new marketing partners, manufacturers, teams and drivers to our sport, coupled with the strengthening of the economy and motorsport’s unique position as a technological and branding platform, now is the ideal time to do this.

In all candor, I am tired of seeing good programs go bad because someone has lacked the direction to maximize their involvement in the sport. While we are best known for the media and marketing corner of our business, we have extensive, behind-the-scenes experience in nearly every aspect of developing a motorsport program. We have been intricately involved in everything from developing new teams to implementing a brand launch so we bring more to the table than most. This is a tremendous opportunity for us but also to those interested in putting in place a well-built strategy to take advantage of the opportunities this sport provides. Most importantly, we will do this with the same level of commitment and integrity in which we have always approached our work.”
