Bernie Ecclestone has tipped Lewis Hamilton to bounce back from his current trough.
The 2008 world champion has been sombre in the paddock and out of shape on the track this season, with Eddie Jordan saying the Briton has “lost his mojo”.
“In life you go through ups and downs,” F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone is quoted by Germany’s Sport1.
“I think he is just going through a rough phase in his life in general, but Lewis will come back because he is great.”
Tuttosport quotes the 81-year-old adding: “When life is going well, it’s going well, but when things start to go wrong the problems start to accumulate more and more.
“He will get out of it. I spoke with him in India and he’s fine,” said Ecclestone.
