The ‘‘Privilege’’ period offered to 2008 Customers is now over

All available Grandstand Seats now offered to those wishing to attend their first FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX

Montréal, January 17, 2010 – Montreal’s Octane Racing Group Inc., promoter of the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX, the eighth round of the 2010 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, is pleased to announce that as of tomorrow, January 18, all available grandstand seats can be purchase.

The ‘’privilege’’ period offered to 2008 clients has ended. Anyone wishing to experience their first F1 event on June 11, 12 and 13 can now order the best seats available. The same goes for fans that missed the 2008 event, but wish to re-experience the Grand Prix, which those from near and far consider “simply the best.”

“Over the last few weeks we saw that the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX has a very large number of loyal customers. We would like to thank them for not allowing a year without a Grand Prix to dampen their enthusiasm,” said François Dumontier, president of Octane Racing Group Inc., the event promoter. “The response from this group is more than encouraging. It strengthens our commitment to pull out all the stops and deliver an event that reaches their expectations, a motorsports event that will be appreciated at the highest of levels. And beyond Formula 1, the 2010 event will offer quite an amazing show.”

The strength of the euro, the fact that we are the only North-American round of the World Championship, the sheer reputation of our event, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and the atmosphere that reigns in the city on Grand Prix weekend, are all factors that explain this surge in interest. The fact that Red Bull had planned a special event in Montréal with Sébastien Buemi, one of the 2010 Formula 1 grid drivers, is a strong testimonial of the enthusiasm that the teams have toward the perspective of renewing with the Montréal crowd, next June,” added Dumontier, referring to the initiative of the sponsor/owners of the Red Bull and Toro Rosso teams, an event unfortunately cancelled due to the warm weather conditions.

Those wishing to obtain grandstand tickets (and general admission) offered at the same prices as in 2008 can, starting tomorrow, contact the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX box office at 514 350-0000 which is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. They can also visit www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca , at any time to order online.

Organizers are also offering a variety of corporate packages for both small and large companies and other groups who desire to attend the 2010 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF CANADA. To make a reservation or to obtain further information, those interested should contact Julie Rioux-Paquette and Marie-Claude Boucher at 514 350-4731. Always popular, corporate packages for the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX, sell out quickly.
