The FOURTH ANNUAL “BRITS ON THE LAKE” Classic BRITISH MOTORING REVIVAL is now just six months away and things are shaping up nicely. If you are planning on attending, here are a few things that you need to know. If you were not planning on coming out, please reconsider. I know that you’ll have a great time. Port Perry has a lot to offer visitors at any time, but a downtown full of beautiful British Cars, Motorcycles and Commercials, great food and beverage, throngs of admirers, contests, a superb live band and friendly shoppe and boutique staff just puts it on a whole other level.
We have EXPANDED the weekend to include two new activities on SATURDAY! Saturday will now see a ROAD RALLY/TOUR of approximately 90 miles in distance starting mid-day and circumnavigating Lake Scugog and a LAKE CRUISE with Dinner and Dance in the evening. So, plan to join us for a fun-filled weekend of all-British nostalgia and adventure.
FEATURED MARQUE: MG CARS in celebration of the 50th Anniversary for the FAB MGB!
EVENT THEME: “STEP BACK IN TIME – GOODWOOD STYLE” – The Revival will be a magical step back in time, a unique chance to revel in the glamour and allure of classic British motoring set in the romantic time capsule offered by the historic Port Perry streetscape.
The Revival is fast becoming the country’s most popular all-British motoring meet set in the time capsule of the post-war era. It relives the glory days of sporting British cars and motorcycles and it is most likely the biggest street party of its kind. It offers owners, enthusiasts, visitors and shop-keepers the opportunity to leave the modern world behind and enjoy the magic of the historic streetscape infused with the rolling beauty of classic British engineering and design.
Everyone that sets foot on Queen Street enters onto the stage that is BRITS ON THE LAKE. You’re encouraged to let nostalgia overwhelm you and to join the cast in vintage clothing, helping to turn the clock back. Don’t be afraid to get up close to the cars. The owners love to show off their beautiful machines. You can join in on the ‘peoples choice judging’ and vote for your favourites.
WHERE TO GO: Please, check the website (www.britsonthelake.com) and go to the Map & Directions page. There, you will find the things that you need to know concerning access to the event site.
